Don’t Be A DUFUS
Don’t be a dufus,
what you do in the gym helps you with your performance, but it is NOT your performance. No mimicking swings, shots, pitches, jumps, etc! Does that mean we won’t take a minute or two to talk about what you are working on, and explain the association between what we are working on and how that will help you, no. However, time training is meant to enhance those abilities through movements and techniques that create the desired outcome… which 99% of the time is not going to be THE specific movement you do for sport or performance.
How often do you ignore your body…?
Many people who are passionate about fitness fall into the trap of ignoring warning signs from their bodies that they are worn down from training. We often equate dedication with pushing through pain and fatigue, but in truth, this approach can be counterproductive and even harmful.
Foundational Movements: The Cornerstone of Physical Fitness
Movement is at the heart of all physical activity, whether you're an athlete, a weekend warrior, or just want to improve your general well-being. Among the multitude of exercises and workout routines, foundational movements stand out as the basic patterns from which all other complex movements are built. Mastering these is essential for both performance and long-term health.
